Microsoft Xbox is very pleased with the sales of Sea of Thieves on PS5
Microsoft Xbox is pleased with the good sales of Sea of Thieves on PS5, showing that there will be more Xbox games coming to PlayStation.
With Microsoft Xbox aggressively bringing many of its key exclusive games to PS5 and Nintendo Switch recently, Sea of Thieves is said to be decisive as to whether the company will continue in this direction or not. And in the immediate future, the results for this new strategy are very positive.
Accordingly, Matt Booty, president of Microsoft Gaming, briefly told Variety that the company is extremely satisfied with the sales of Sea of Thieves on PS5. To be fair, it’s not surprising that this pirate-themed online co-op game was the most downloaded game on PSN last May.
Thus, with the strategy of porting key exclusive games to rival systems, Microsoft Xbox is really reaping significant immediate successes. This will certainly help the company continue to port more games to Sony PlayStation and Nintendo systems. Of course, this will make the Xbox community concerned about the future of this console system, especially when PS is increasingly far behind Xbox in terms of console sales.
In the immediate future, Microsoft Xbox also confirmed that Doom: The Dark Ages will have a PS5 version. Many of the company’s other major games are also rumored to be ported to PS5, but there is currently no official announcement. We will have to wait for new information in the near future.
