Another Blockbuster Looms, Making Black Myth: Wukong “Tremble”
Following the anticipation for Black Myth: Wukong, fans can look forward to another highly notable blockbuster on the horizon.

Currently, enthusiasts of the Soulslike genre have plenty of reasons to rejoice, thanks to a series of exciting updates. The expansion DLC for Elden Ring, titled “Shadow of the Erdtree,” is set for release soon, and Black Myth: Wukong is nearing its launch date. Adding to this excitement, a new blockbuster is emerging and has been introduced to a broad audience. Based on the initial descriptions and images, many believe this upcoming game could be a formidable rival to Black Myth: Wukong upon its release.

The game in question is Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. Announced in 2021, it has recently gained significant attention following the release of an impressive trailer. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers follows Bai Wuchang, an amnesiac warrior battling a mysterious illness called Ornithropy. This disease gradually transforms Wuchang into a monster while also granting him immense strength. Initial introductions suggest that Wuchang: Fallen Feathers will not be an open-world game; instead, it will likely adopt a structure similar to Black Myth: Wukong, offering players freedom yet remaining somewhat constrained by the overarching storyline.
The combat system of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers has yet to be detailed, but the Ornithropy disease is expected to play a crucial role. It offers players various spells and fighting techniques tailored to their weapons, adding much-needed diversity to the Soulslike genre. The game is being developed with Unreal Engine 5, promising exceptionally sharp and clear visuals.

With many direct competitors set for release in the next four months, the decision to launch Wuchang: Fallen Feathers in 2025 seems wise. The game will be available on both PC and console platforms upon release.
